New bus stop kerbs for old

Kerb stones that will be replaced
Taylor Wimpey want to replace kerbs at five bus stops and salvage what they can from four of those to make up one bus stop using the old-style kerbs.
Whilst Swindon Borough Council have been proclaiming the submission of a planning application for new houses in Middle Wichel — we’ll come back to that when full details of the application are available and there’s more to comment on than pretty artist’s impressions — it’s a rather minor recent planning application that has caught our attention.

Taylor Wimpey have requested permission from Swindon Borough Council to change the kerb stones used at bus stops in East Wichel. It has taken Taylor Wimpey so long to complete works in East Wichel that the kerb stones they originally used are no longer available. In order to make up the kerbs to an acceptable standard before adoption by the council, Taylor Wimpey need to replace most of the kerb stones. They plan to salvage kerbs from four of the stops to use at the westbound Rylane stop.
