IFNL leave customers without television after botched network maintenance
IFNL’s botched maintenance has left customers without TV.Independent Fibre Networks Limited (IFNL) has left some of their customers in East Wichel without a television service, after they botched maintenance work on Thursday. The company, which is part of Gas Transportation Company (GTC), was doing maintenance between 9 am and 5 pm on Thursday. The TV and DAB radio service that runs over the network was run by another GTC company, Fibre TV to Home Ltd (FTTH), and IFNL were doing the maintenance before taking it over from them. But the maintenance work over-ran, and since then many of their customers have found themselves with either intermittent television service or no television at all. And with no out-of-hours service, it looks like customers may have the whole weekend without television.
We’ve left a message with IFNL, asking if they’d like to provide an explanation of what went wrong. We’ll let you know if we get a reply.
